Kathleen King, CHE, M.Ed. is a lecturer for the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management. Kathleen received both her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Northern Arizona University. She has taught Hotel and Restaurant Management classes at both Northern Arizona University and Coconino Community College. Prior to work at Northern Arizona University she worked for 9 years for Best Western International both in their Reservations and Customer Service Departments. Kathleen was a Reservations Supervisor at the Flagstaff Call Center for Best Western International, located inside the School of HRM from August of 1996 until the center closed in January of 2002.
Kathleen is the advisor for the NAU Chapter of the National Society for Minorities in Hospitality. In 2009 she was awarded the Founder’s Award for the National Advisor of the Year.
Kathleen is an active member of the Flagstaff Sunrise Lions Club and on the Board of Directors for Lions Camp Tatiyee, a camp funded entirely by the Lions of Arizona for Mentally and Physically challenged children and adults.
Kathleen lives in Flagstaff with her two children, a son Django and daughter Victoria.
