Transforming with the Times: Office of Advising and Academic Support
The Office of Academic Services has sought to meet the academic needs of the FCB student body for many years. As part of their efforts, they assess their ability to do so through direct feedback and surveys.
This past year the advising office expanded as a result of the merge of the advising offices of the two divisions in the FCB, the business division and School of Hotel and Restaurant Management. They rolled in feedback from a student survey completed in Spring 2017* to transform into the Office of Advising and Academic Support, more accurately reflecting what the team can do for students.
The advising team is now working to re-brand and advertise services they offer that benefit student success.
"The OAS team is an amazing, hardworking group of people who have our students as their priority," said Chris Drake, OAS coordinator.
With two locations to serve all FCB students, the OAS team's goal is to make sure students have the resources and support to call FCB and NAU their academic home.
