To thank Pappas Restaurants for their donations to SHRM Student Travel Fund, the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality (NSMH) presented Tammy Ledyard ('01 HRM), Pappas management recruiter and member of the SHRM National Advisory Board, with a card; a signed and framed photo collage; and a bouquet of flowers.

NSMH recently attended the national conference in Pittsburgh, Penn. (story HERE) and wouldn’t have been able to take all of their members if it weren’t for contributions from Pappas.

Several members of the club presented her with their gifts during the Hospitality Career Fair.

“We didn’t ask for a sponsor but you helped out anyway,” Brooke Kirby, NSMH president, told Ledyard.

Ledyard graciously accepted the gifts, saying thank you.

“I really appreciate it,” she said.

Partnerships with companies like Pappas are part of what gives the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management such close connections with a community of professionals.
