HRM Alum Kelly Balthazor New Head of Community Development at US Airways
Kelly Balthazor, an Arizona native and 1992 graduate from NAU’s School of HRM, was just recently promoted to become the director of US Airways community development and charitable giving.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree from NAU, Balthazor focused on planning nonprofit and charitable events, working for organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tucson and the Phoenix Zoo. Then in 2005, Balthazor began her work at US Airways in Tempe.
As the head of community development and charitable giving, Balthazor is responsible for managing the some 10,000 requests that US Airways gets each year from nonprofit organizations, schools, community groups, and individuals who request things like free flights, donations, and volunteer help.
