Fall 2013 HRM Hospitality Career Fair
HRM will be holding their bi-annual Hospitality Career Fair on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The first hour will be open only to seniors and grad students and then students of all levels within the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management will get the chance to talk to any of the 35 employers who will be represented at the fair.
Students are asked to be in professional dress and have their resume on hand to give to potential employers. Interviews are being held in the HRM building on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. as well as all day during the fair on Wednesday.
This semester, nine new companies have been added to the event. Past career fairs have been highly successful so the word has gotten around to other companies that NAU is the place to recruit excellent employees.
“Last spring we had a 73% placement rate for our graduate students,” said Suzanne Siler, program director of internships.
“It’s an opportunity for freshmen and sophomores to start gathering information. It’s an opportunity for sophomores and juniors to look at internship opportunities. And it’s an opportunity for seniors to start looking at full-time, entry level career opportunities,” Siler said.
