Chipotle Pathways Event
On Thursday October 25 the Marketing Strategist at Chipotle Mexican Grill, Kennedy Turner, came to speak to HRM students about how Chipotle came to be a successful restaurant chain.
Chipotle uses organic, grass fed meat in their restaurant. Kennedy shared the documentary, American Meat, in order to show the difference between grass fed meat and non-grass fed meat.
Kennedy spoke about how Chipotle advertises their business in a unique way and is collaborating with celebrities in order to reach out to multiple groups of people.
He also stated the importance staying local. Chipotle uses the help of local farmers to provide fresh meat.
Kennedy was able to give them valuable advice about being open-minded to any type of job opportunity. Always keep in touch with former employers because letters of recommendation are very important to getting to the career path that you desire.
Students found this Pathways event to be very interesting and successful.
